You already know the Versus Evil name, but who exactly are the people hard at work behind the scenes to bring you the best indie games around? Well, allow us to formally introduce ourselves!
This week, the series continues with Sydney from our community team. We’d always had bigger ambitions when it came to community, and adding Sydney allowed us to finally start pursuing them. She has been an instrumental part of our community growth strategy, and has also helped us branch out into more charity-focused work. She’s also a strong advocate of cozy games and is always on the lookout for something new and interesting to bring to the team!

How long have you been at Versus Evil?
Since Spring of 2021.
What do you do here?
I work on fostering and growing the Versus Evil community and the communities of various VE published game titles. Along with Dave, I helped form and run the in-house influencer program of Versus Evil, The Heralds.
What’s your favorite game of all time?
This is an illegal question as how can a gamer pick just one??? The Diablo series, Two Point Hospital & Theme Hospital, numerous tycoon and time management games, Pokémon games, Dead by Daylight, Raft, Genshin Impact and more! I’m a dedicated filthy, casual variety gamer.
If you could design your perfect game, what would it be like?
A cozy tycoon/time management game! I am adoring the expansion of demand for cozy games in the industry. It feels like the gaming industry is becoming more inclusive and open to genuine variety.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
GAME! Hang out with my three cats, garden, workout, cosplay, etc.
Do you have any pets?
Mai – 11 y/o Manx Tortie with a nub tail
Zuko – 3-month-old kitten medium hair black & white
Sokka – 3-month-old kitten short hair black & white
