You already know the Versus Evil name, but who exactly are the people hard at work behind the scenes to bring you the best indie games around? Well, allow us to formally introduce ourselves!
This week, the series continues with cozy game enthusiast, and newest addition to our marketing team, Jelisa! If her name sounds familiar, it’s because she’s been here before, and we’re soooo excited to welcome her back into the Versus Evil family!
Jelisa is a detailed-oriented marketing expert with an extensive background in the tabletop gaming space. But you know what’s even cooler than that? She used to work for NASA! No kidding!

How long have you been at Versus Evil?
Since June 2022.
What do you do here?
TL;DR: I work directly with developers to bring their games to life! Whether it’s helping shape the brand entirely or helping to improve upon an existing brand.
It’s my job to ensure that their needs are being met, while also working my magic to provide them great marketing opportunities and shape the marketing plans for the product launch via strategic partnerships, working with the community team to identify influencer opportunities and more!
What’s your favorite game of all time?
Honestly – my favorite game of all time is one I have played recently, believe it or not, and that is the original Life is Strange, It tops pretty much any other game I’ve ever played! I love story driven games and RPGs, and while this one doesn’t really fit in the RPG category, it takes the cake for story line!
If you could design your perfect game, what would it be like?
It would be a cross between the action-RPG anime style of Genshin Impact with a much more compelling storyline, like Life is Strange, but also make it indie (whatever that looks like lol).
What do you do for fun outside of work?
When I am not working, I create content, stream, play with my dogs, shop for things I don’t really need and eat popcorn (LOL).
Do you have any pets?
YESSS! I have FOUR Australian Shepherds! (yes, four.. you read that right, lol).
